WHAT WE DO
Member Organizations
Alfa Guild: (Arrow Lakes Fine Arts Guild)
The alfa guild society show art exibits at the gallery located on Broadway, next to the Saddle Back Medical Clinic.

Arrow Lakes Community Theatre Society:
A community theatre group that puts on plays with members of the community and mentors the local secondary drama students.

Lakeside Singers:
A community choral group who put on concerts for the community at Christmas and in the Spring.

Nakusp Roots Music Society:
A new society who will be presenting folk and blues artists in Nakusp on Labor Day weekend, 2002.

Slocan Community Orchestra:
A community orchestra whose members come from the Slocan Valley and the Arrow Lakes area. They perform community concerts in the Spring at the Silverton Art Gallery in Silverton and the Bonnington Arts Centre in Nakusp.

Arrow Lakes Historical Society:
We gather information for all the Arrow Lakes area and include the Lardeau region as well. We have written 7 books on these areas and the information can be found on our website about these publications- www.alhs-archives.com. Our office is at 92 - 7th Ave NW Nakusp in a portion of the Hydro building. Our hours are Tues and Thurs from 10-3 year round. Cinefil Cimema Club:
presentor of quality alternative/art films, regularly screened at the Bonnington Arts Centre.

Mirror Theater:
Mirror Theatre, organized around our first production in January of 2000, performs to several communities in the Arrow Lakes and Slocan Lake valleys. Based in Fauquier, BC, we have a four play season and are members of Theatre BC. Contact: Janet Royko, 250-269-7384, P.O. Nakusp Museum: showcases a wealth of local artifacts; advocates for history of local aboriginal people

Senior Citizens Association:
numerous programs/services designed for ages 50 and over; home of Senios' Serenaders, fun chorale group.

Celebration of Wellness:
practitioner/information resource; advocates Nakusp and district as a health and wellness destination point.
